So as you know, it is that time of the year when Ganpati Bappa comes to our homes and blesses us with his best wishes. All of us are pleased seeing Bappa’s idols at our homes or at different pandals. Spice it up with 5 Spice!

5 Spice Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Hello Foodies!

5 Spice has been always on the top of my lists when it comes to eating Chinese. So last Saturday, when me and my friend were searching restaurants for weekend dinner, 5 spice was what came in our minds!

1.jpg

Located in Malad west, 5 Spice is a delightful place with decent ambience and a very co-operative staff. Chinese cuisine and Deserts are their speciality. Their quantity of food is what gives them an extra brownie point!

My favourites from 5 Spice –

Veg. Hot and Sour Soup –

IMG_20170812_223822_591

One of the most appetising soups I have ever had! The soup tastes yumm with a mild garlic flavour and with lots of veggies and tofu! As a Nutritionist, I would stronlgy recommend you to try this soup at your home as well and make healthy eating interesting too!

Salad –

IMG_20170812_223459_716.jpg

I had never thought that salads served as sides would taste so amazing! This salad is not a part of their Menu card, they serve this as sides the same way like you get onions and pickles when you order North Indian. Looking at the salad, it appears like any other cut vegetables but their hot and tangy dressing makes you fall in love with Salads. Trust me, we finished the whole plate in less than 2 minutes!

Singapore Noodles –

20150907_153131.jpg

These Noodles have a Red Chilli tadka to it giving it an Indian touch. Personally, addition of Indian flavours to Chinese was not really liked by me. But, if you are fond of strong Indian flavours, you can give this dish a try!

Fried Wontons –

IMG_20170812_225808_996.jpg

In the recent times, I have become a big fan of Wontons and Dimsums. And ordering them becomes mandatory much when you go to a Chinese restaurant. 5 Spice has different varieties of Wontons and Dimsums both Veg and Non-veg. What we had ordered was fried Wontons tossed with vegetables in schezwan sauce. These Wontons are worth ordering – so crispy, so yummy that leaves you lip smacking!

Thai-Pot Noodles –

IMG_20170812_231700_723.jpg

Thai-Pot Noodles is their speciality and most liked noodle variety in 5 Spice. Smooth noodles tossed with vegetables in Thai flavoured gravy – a perfect end to the Chinese meal!

Death By Chocolate –

20150907_160935.jpg

20150907_161002.jpg

After a scrumptious Chinese meal, a desert is a must. And what better than Death by Chocolate! It is a chocolate pastry with a scoop of chocolate ice-cream topped with loads of chocolate sauce! Definitely, a treat for all the Chocoholics. Ah! How I love this! This is definitely a must must try when you are at 5 spice!

So, these were some of my favourites from 5 Spice. Do visit your nearest 5 Spice outlet and try these amazingly yummy dishes and tell me how do you like it! Also, let me know in case you like something else so that I can try them the next time I am here!

Till then,

Keep munching and have a happy weekend!

Don’t miss this when you are in Pune!

Sujata Mastani Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Wadeshwar Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

New Poona Bakery Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Hello Foodies!

I’ve been a bit busy with College for the last few weeks but I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the rains! Recently I had been to Pune for a small vacay, and me and my gut have had the best times there. So in case you are planning a trip there soon, these are the few must visits so that you make the most of your trip.

  1. New Poona Bakery – We had got Cream rolls and Veg. Pattice from here. The cream rolls were similar to that we get in Mumbai. But the Veg. Pattice were one of the best puff pattices I have had. Triangular in shape, with flaky layers  all around and stuffed with so much of veggies that you will never be satisfied with just one pattice.IMG_20170625_083124_073.jpg
  2. Wadeshwar – It is a typical food joint where you get a mixture of cuisines. But the things to try out here are their Set Dosas and Chhole Bhature. I have no idea about why these Dosas are called Set Dosas maybe because they come in a set of two each! But these Dosas are so yummy, so soft and so fresh that you can end up ordering multiple such sets! Also, the red powder chutney served along is like the icing on the cake. The next delicacy that we had ordered were Chhole Bhature and trust me, the Bhaturas were a-m-a-z-i-n-g! They are 3 times as big as your face and the chhole compliments it so well! You definitely gotta try them! IMG_20170625_125738_173.jpgIMG_20170625_125901_192.jpgAlso, these guys have some healthy stuff also on their Menu cards like salads, cold pastas, health drinks, soy recipies, protein rich breakfasts & snacks and also some protein shakes. So, the health freaks have also got a reason to visit them.
  3. Sujata Mastani – After Bajirao’s Mastani, Sujata Mastani is the next hit in Pune!(Sorry for the bad joke!) But trust me, this is an essential when in Pune! Mastani is basically an Ice-cream shake topped with a scoop of ice-cream of the same flavour. Mango Mastani is their best selling Mastani and if you dont have this when you’re in Pune, your Pune trip is a complete waste!IMG_20170624_230317_881.jpg

So people, out of my many favourites in Pune, these 3 places top the list. So do visit these places when you’re in Pune and let me know how do you like them! Also, I’d be glad to know your favourites in the Pune city.

Till then,

Keep munching and have a happy weekend!

Taste the real South India at Mani’s!

Mani's Lunch Home Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Hello Foodies!

I hope you’re all doing well! South India is being liked by many of us for various reasons; be it their culture, traditions, jewellery, dance, music, etc. One of the reasons for which I am in love with South India is their food!(So yummy! Isn’t it?)

Another thing about South Indian food is that it is healthy as it is a combination of Cereals and Pulses put together and cooked in different ways then served with Dals in the form of Sambars or chutneys. Duh!, there is so much of protien coming in!

So today I would be blogging about my favourite South Indian joint – Mani’s Lunch Home, Matunga. Now, to all those in Matunga, Mani’s is not just an eatery but an essential without which a Sunday doesn’t look like a Sunday! Hence, to all those who are their regular patrons, this is for you and to all those who haven’t been there, here I give you reasons to visit them soon!

1.jpg

Located in Matunga east, Mani’s Lunch Home is an old joint, definitely with no attractive ambience and is a place which is always crowded but the food served here compensates for all this!

My favourites from Mani’s –

Sheera-Upma Mix – I have never eaten this combo together except at Mani’s. And you have to know that this is surreal. Sheera and Upma both taste amazing individually and when put together, it is like a cherry on the cake! And to relish this you better go early morning.

Medu Wada Sambar – They make the yummiest Medu Wadas; very crispy, perfect round and correct golden-brown in colour. Another best part about this is that you get unlimited servings of Sambar which is a perfect blend of South-Indian flavours that would lit your mood!

Rava Dosa – This is my most favourite and a must order every time I visit them. Very Crispy with the perfect net! You have to taste this once you are here.

Neer Dosa – The last but not the least comes the Neer Dosa, so white and so soft. You get this only on Thursdays and Saturdays!

So these 4 have always topped my orders at Mani’s. The other Dosas are yummy too! I must say that I have been visiting them for over a decade now and the taste hasn’t changed and so said my Father! Also, there are no pictures because the food is so tempting that I slurped it as soon as it was served. So, you better go, taste the food and click the pictures by yourself and don’t forget to tag ‘Flavourous Voyage’.

Till then,

Keep munching and have a happy weekend!

Savour your way with Coffee by Di Bella!

Coffee by Di Bella Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Hello Foodies!

I hope you are all doing well and liking the blogs as well. So, today I would be blogging about one of my most favourite Cafes in town – Coffee by Di Bella. I have been to their Santacruz outlet and trust me it’s really worth visiting! Once again, a great comfy place to be at with friends.

1

Things to try at Coffee by Di Bella –

In the recent times, I have become a Waffle-maniac. So at every cafe I visit, I would always check out on their waffles. So we had ordered two waffles and a freak-shake here.

Nutella Waffles

IMG-20161113-WA0014.jpg

I am a big fan of the Nutella spread. So, ordering this variety of waffles with Nutella was mandatory and it was definitely the right decision. You get to eat so much of Nutella with a perfect ice-cream and whipped cream which balances the flavours by not making it too very sweet!

Chocolate Explosion Waffles

IMG_20161113_183453.jpg

Me and my friends have always been chocolate lovers and this name on the Menu card attracted us the most! And when you eat them it keeps you captivating till the plate is completely licked.

If I had to rate one of the above two as the best one then hands down Chocolate Explosion Waffles earn it all!

The next in line was Freak-shake. I was very curious about what this Freak-shake exactly is! So, to all you wondering what is it exactly, well, it’s a thick ice-cream shake with lots of cream added on the top and waffles. Recently, the Jar-shakes are been trending a lot and this one is surely one of the yummiest Jar-shakes I have had! So, we had ordered the Melbourne Freak-shake which was the most apt choice as it had so much chocolate inside-out. And we being chocolate-maniacs were in complete love with that! It does not only taste extremely chocolatey, creamy and super yummy but also looks the same! Have a look at it –

IMG-20170313-WA0039.jpg

So, these are my favourites from this Cafe. Do visit this place if you are in complete love with chocolates and a crazy chocolate-maniac. I am sure this place will not disappoint you! Also, do let me know if you try something else and like that too. (P.S. – The other two Freak-shakes also look too tempting but I couldn’t try them as I was already full.)

Till then,

Keep munching and have a happy weekend!

Nosh-up at Radha Krishna!

Radha Krishna Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Hello Foodies!

1.jpg

The other day, I had been to this hotel titled Radha Krishna located at Andheri West on the S.V. Road for a classic FamJam. It is a nice place with an appreciable ambience and most importantly pronounced food quality and services. Briefly, I must say an ideal place for a get-together with friends or family!

We had heard that you get the yummiest North-Indian cuisine served here. So we preferred to order the same. Also, we decided to have spring rolls and Veg, crispy (our favourite starter Menu Of-course!) as starters.

Spring Rolls & Veg. Crispy

1.jpg

The Veg, Crispy was real crispy sauted in schezwan sauce giving the best flavours. Also, the spring rolls had lots of vegetables stuffed unlike other places where you can hardly see veggies inside. Also, the schezwan sauce served accounts for an extra brownie point!

The next in line was a list of North-Indian dishes that included Paneer Pasanda and Paneer Butter Masala with Butter Kulcha. Both the gravies were extremely creamy with a burst of flavours in every bite! Also, the Kulcha was very soft and palatable.

Also, we ordered Schezwan Rice, Hakka Noodles and Manchurian gravy (because the Chinese starters had impressed us a lot!) which was equally good.

4.jpg

So, this was what I tried and liked from Radha Krishna. And yes!, they give very quick services which help them earn an extra brownie point yet another time! Do visit this place and let me know how do you like it. Also, I would love to hear out from you if you try something apart from these dishes.

Till then,

Keep munching and have a happy weekend!

When at Lokhandwala, try Frisbees!

Frisbees Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Hello Foodies!

Recently, me and my friends had been to Andheri for a full day seminar and the food served there was pathetic keeping all of us half-starved! As soon as the seminar was done, one of us started searching good places to eat on Zomato, and we found Frisbees which was near to our location and reflected a good menu.

1

Frisbees, located on the western wedges of Andheri is a decent place with a cordial ambience with dim lights over each table, good music which would leave you delighted. I suggest going there in the evenings would be preferable if you want to experience that kind of aura!

Well, they serve different kinds of Burgers, Pizzas, Sandwiches, Flips, Fries and Shakes. Out of which we decided to order a Burger, a Flip and some Fries. Instead of shakes, we opted for cold drinks as beverage because we already had ordered so much to eat!

Things we ordered at Frisbees –

img_20170304_190833_637.jpg

  1. Cheese Bomb – Cheese Bomb is their Veg. Burger with a 4 cheese patty as they say! Yes, they fuse 4 different kinds of Cheese into a patty and if you are a die hard cheese fan, you have to try this once in your life time. So much cheese oozing out of the patty leaves you spellbound! Along with the patty, goes in the lettuce, garlic flavoured mayonnaise, jalapenos, onions and tomatoes into the burger which is accompanied with some fries. The Burger is so big that it will suffice two individuals for sure!

img_20170304_191013_063.jpg

2.Corn Cheese Flip – The next we ordered was this Corn Cheese Flip which had corn cheese fritters stuffed in Pita bread with lettuce, gherkins, jalapenos, onions and tomatoes. They served it with Coriander pesto, Garlic sauce, Hummus and Tahini. The hummus was one of the yummiest I have had with the right texture and creaminess.

IMG_20170304_192300_714.jpg

3. Chilli Swishers – The next in line was Chilli Swishers which were basically chilli fries. Well, if you are a fan of fries served at McDonalds, then you may not like these as they are not as crisp as in McD!

So, the only disappointment was their fries but even that might have been because it was compared to our all time favourite ones from McDonalds! But the other two things are worth trying and something that is economic as well. Yes, another thing that must be appreciated is their price range which will suit the pockets of  every teen and college-going individual!

This was my experience about Frisbees. Do visit them and try these things out and let me know how do you like it. Also, I would love to hear out from you if you try something new.

Till then,

Keep munching and have a happy weekend!
